Simply put, Google+ is Facebook for adults, professionals, and anyone else who is bored or disappointed with the evolution of other social networking sites. I was reluctant to join Google+ a few months back as I felt I was already linked in with Facebook and Twitter so there was no need for change. Additionally, the failure of Google Wave is not too far in the distant past to forget so the last thing I wanted to do, or advise teachers and students to do, was jump on board another sinking ship.

The most common critique of Google Forms that I hear from teachers is that you cannot add images, and my most common response is, wait. Google has an uncanny ability to gauge and respond to customer demand in a way that leaves them surprised and enhances the already open and intuitive nature of their products. My next piece of advice is, use it or lose it. Google also tracks the analytics of all their products and continues to develop their products for the majority of their customer base, much to the frustration of power users at times, but more often than not comes back with a better product.

This is an amazing world class PD event Seoul Foreign School is proud to be hosting in September 2013. There is also a Pre-Summit Boot Camp before the main summit that will help participants prepare for the Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer application. As a participant of the GAFE Summit Singapore, I was so impressed and enthused that I immediately approached the GAFE Summit team, of +Mark Wagner, +Wendy Gorton, and +Molly Schroeder and started working on bringing this fantastic event to South Korea. Luckily the SFS ET team, and Admin shared my enthusiasm and our dream has become a reality. All educators are welcome to attend, international and local, the more the better. Hope to see you there.
